During the last two months I have completed a cover and ten illustrations for an upcoming children’s book. The book is being created for the 18th birthday of the story’s author, a girl name Lili, who wrote the story when she was ten.
This is the 5th image; the boy was captured by the islanders and dragged to their camp. Now he's brought in front of the tribe's leader who is a pretty cruel man, so hope his friends will be rescuing him soon!
This picture was added later, mostly because the boy was never in the focus before, and we needed to spread the images fairly evenly throughout the book. The indigenous islanders were turned into tribal Hungarian people for… reasons. We find this is much funnier and less offensive. Who knows some old Hungarian lore? :)
