ASZK - Character lineup

During the last two months I have completed a cover and ten illustrations for an upcoming children’s book. The book is being created for the 18th birthday of the story’s author, a girl name Lili, who wrote the story when she was ten.

It was a pleasure to be given so much creative freedom with the character designs and scenarios! I felt that I got really immersed in the story, as silly as it was, and the characters in particular really grew on me. 😊

At first, designing the kids came naturally and it was pretty fun. On the other hand, since I don't draw men too often, designing them was pretty challenging at first. But once I made some different versions and found what worked... man, I actually ended up loving their designs even more!
